DAVIE, FL – A driver of an Infiniti SUV was suspected to have caused a fatal collision involving at least three vehicles Wednesday.
The crash happened on Florida’s Turnpike near I-595, according to WSVN. The impact of the collision caused a box truck to roll over, and one roof was completely removed.
The driver of the Infiniti SUV fled the scene.
The driver of the Toyota SUV died from his injuries, while the box truck driver was seriously injured and taken to Broward Health Medical Center.
The entrance ramp of the Turnpike’s northbound lanes was closed but has reopened since.
