News: Girl, 6, dead after Miami Gardens multi-vehicle crash

MIAMI GARDENS, FL – A 6-year-old girl died following a multi-vehicle crash near NW 215th St. Saturday. 

According to Local 10, a driver of a northbound white Dodge made an improper lane change and crashed into a white GMC SUV. The impact caused the Dodge to lose control of the vehicle and collide with a gray Mercedes SUV. 

In addition, the impact caused the GMC SUV to catch fire. Thankfully the occupants were able to escape without sustaining any fire-related injuries. 

All eight occupants were all transported to a hospital. One of the occupants – the 6-year-old girl – later died from her injuries at the hospital. 

Florida’s Turnpike near NW 215th closed for a whil; however, all travel lanes have reopened since.
