News: Man, 50, killed in hit-and-run crash near Miami Int. Airport


MIAMI, FL – A motorcyclist was left dead after a severe collision near NW 47th Ave. and West Flagler St. around 4:30 a.m. Thursday. 

According to Local 10, another driver turned left and collided with the motorcyclist. The impact caused the other vehicle to hit the side of a building, as indicated in video footage. 

The driver did not render aid and immediately fled the scene on foot. Officials believe the suspect is a white man in his 30s and has not yet been found. 

 The motorcyclist was identified as 50-year-old Edgar Edmundo Sarduy Suarez. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The intersection closed for several hours for clearance and investigation and has reopened since.
